Well it’s not the first time I’ve been to Paris, and it won’t be the last. It’s one of my fave cities in the world even if it is plagued by beggars and street sellers. Marais is my fave part of Paris but walking the streets anywhere is good.

I remember some years ago driving here and parking the car in one of the many long stay underground car parks. We’d gone to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and when I looked down on the roundabout it’s situated on, there were 11 lanes of traffic fed by 13 roads. 4 tiny policemen were directing all of the rush hour traffic, so I had to go and get the car and go over the roundabout just to say I’d done it!

The Louvre is the best thing in Paris by far. I absolutely love this place and have a full day here every time I come. If you visit be sure to see the carving called Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss by Antonio Canova. It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.

A boat trip on the river Seine is quite informative too. It helps you understand the layout of the city and also the guides (if you get a good one) tell you lots of little titbits about the city.

We will be here again so here’s some photos for now.
